These are educational resource packages that cover most subjects of the curriculum and can be used over a wide age range. They can be used as an integrated unit lasting from four to six weeks, or as freestanding activities on a theme in math, science, social studies art, music, movement and language arts spread over a longer part of the school year.
Two programs (Canada’s Changing Face and Canada & the Titanic) have been used as themes in some Alberta and British Columbia elementary and junior high schools since 1998. Large parts of the third (“Finding & Building the Northwest Passage”) have also had in school exposure,
while the fourth (Canada’s Pilgrim Mothers) is under development.
